Two days ago there was a huge raid on Artemis by 900 policemen and associates alleging tax evasion. Apparently it is still open for business for the moment but now authorities intend to stop the owners from operating:

I'm just glad I'm having fun around Dusseldorf at this time.

I'll wait to see if this spreads to other brothel in the country as it will mean that they will have to modify the way they work to survive.

Throw in the draft "Prostitute Protection" bill that will soon be going through parliament and I can't see Germany continue to be the brothel of Europe. Still only time will tell what the tax authorities will do next and how that new bill looks like once it's passed.
