LA Guy

He is still a friend. I have always been aware of his sometimes surly nature dealing with customers. I see his point of view as well though. You cannot believe the assholes he has to deal with on a regular basis. He told me stories of the way some guys act when they come in . He has a very small bar and has to keep things moving. If you've been there you know he has only a few seats at the bar. If he likes you he will go out of his way to help you . If you give him a hard time or act like you don't know what you want or like he will be an asshole and clear you out to make room for athe next customer. He will go out of his way to explain the bar if you have never been there. After that he has no tolerance for guys who want to sit and drink and have the girls line up for an extended period of time. He gets all kinds of grief from the girls because they HATE the lineup thing and do not want to stay there any longer than necessary. Some guys sit and stare for 15-20 minutes and cannot decide.

Yea, just got here yesterday from great first time trip to Cambodia. I'll be hitting Eden Club tomorrow. Remember May in Pattaya? She's coming to stay with me the last 2 days before I head home.
It was great hangin with you and I hope we can do it again sometime.

Sheeeesh, has this place gone downhill. When I used to visit it, two or three years ago, the girls were average at best, but the service great. Today, I checked it out, with the intention of having a session. No can do.

Hi Laguy, I think this is a very important update because it sounds like a serious situation in Club Eden. We never seem to hear it mentioned in Trip Reports lately and nobody has mentioned Eden to me in chats about hot spots! Dave the Rave: As someone who previously frequented Eden Club often and therefore knows the ropes there, I arrived at 12:55 p.m. and stayed until about 1:05 p.m., so I think I saw the cream of the crop. As stated there were perhaps 25 women there when I left, but none were worth taking.

Khun Mor: As to the ladyboys issue, as I also stated above, I really don't know whether Marc is hiring them or not. Given Marc's pattern of making contemptuous remarks to those customers he finds the slightest fault with, I don't believe Marc is the type of person who would blink twice about hiring anyone if he thought it was necessary to keep his business going. I've always thought he views his business as coming before his customers (a contradiction he does not seem to understand). This is not to say he isn't sometimes friendly or even charming, but that is often counterbalanced by the hostility he directs at his customers or potential customers.

For example, despite that I told him I had sessions there more than 10 times, when I told him this time I did not see what I was looking for he became rude enough that I wouldn't even THINK about going back, even if the other reservations expressed in this and my above post did not apply.

I'm not, however, really disagreeing with Khun Mor about whether there are lady boys there or not. I am just providing the RATIONALE for a different point of view. As before, I don't know whether there are ladyboys at Eden Club, but saw enough of an indication that I both am interested in whether others have had the same reaction, and also believe I owe it to the community to at least give a heads up about the possibility.

As to your comment about moving to the next stop, I've had sessions at about five other places (including multiple sessions at two) since the above-mentioned visit to Eden two days ago. I've also walked out of two places without taking a session. On the doorstep of high season in LOS this is when establishments should have more girls and certainly not less. Eden Club could well be having supply and demand problems, perhaps the owners attitude at times is a reflection of his frustration at the situation.

After more than 25 visits to BKK, I finally went to Eden Club yesterday. This post is meant to provide perspective for those who haven't had the Eden experience yet (like me until 24 hours ago) and want to decide whether or not to try it.

The main reason I did not try Eden before was the reputation that the manager was rude to customers. When I walked in at 12:35 PM yesterday, the manager could not have been nicer. I sat down and had a drink, and he explained the rules to me. He said that he would call the girls for lineup at 1:00 PM.

The main reason I had decided to try Eden was the reputation of the sure-thing service from the girls. Given that I could not "interview" the girl at my pace (higher risk for mismatch) and that the fee is fixed by the house (lower incentive for individual performance), the service indeed had to be a sure thing for me to even consider it.

Out comes the lineup. The girls stand in a bright area of the club so you can see them clearly. The girls to the right of the yellow line were the quality of a good massage parlor. To the left, the quality of a not-so-good massage parlor. The two girls I got were from the left and will be code-named MA (more attractive) and LA (less attractive).

Off we go to the room (door at the left in the far end of the narrow club, then elevator up). Nice, clean room. LA takes a shower with me. MA goes in after we come out and does not take a shower. Just washes the "private area." I explain to the girls what I want (all from the menu). First serious alarm bell: MA asks me to use a condom for a service that does not require a condom. When I pointed that out, she said "alright alright." Second serious alarm bell: MA was abrupt at best, rude at worst.

At this point in any other venue, I would have just walked. My experience tells me that BS is preample for more BS. However, I let what I read about the Eden service overrule my better judgement.

MA and LA went about their business. Good technique (just good, not great), but they seemed in a hurry somehow, and I kept asking them to slow down using every polite way and gesture. Absolutely to no avail. So I switch to an activity in which I determine the pace . It was OK. LA seemed more eager to please.

As the session progressed, MA grew more edgy and it started to get me completely out of the mood. To salvage the session, I said to her "could you please try to be a little bit more friendly?" What I got in return was that this was her style. She went on about all her customers being satisfied except me. This was getting pretty awkward. LA was trying to be extra nice at this point, to balance things out I guess.

I decided that this has reached the save-my-load point, so I asked them to do a little show for me just to leave on a fun note and then called it quits at 65 minutes. Went down with them, paid my bill, and had a civilized send-off from MA and LA. The manager was sitting with another customer so he did not check with me how the session went.

I had bad experiences in BKK before (not many, mind you, since my interviewing filter is pretty good), but this was my biggest disappointment ever, given the high expectations I had. The biggest loss for me was the spoiled mood and the wasted time, not the money (that's why I went to an expensive sure-thing place). I tried to understand why they were so unprofessional. I am anal about cleanliness and I am very polite. I am fit and I dress well. Even racial considerations crossed my mind (I live in the US but I was born in Brazil, so I look a bit hispanic). Nothing in the reception I received when I entered the club had an iota of a racial overtone.

A final remark. Some of the best looking girls who came in did not lineup. Some went directly to an obvious regular, and others didn't come out (were reserved I guess). I can see that if you are a regular, there are decisive advantages. The biggest advantage, given my experience, is that you would know which girls to avoid. What I wrote here only addresses what a first-timer might encounter. I may have been so unlucky as to pick a real lemon, but this fact in and of itself establishes for me that the sure-thing service at Eden is really a myth.

Sounds to me like the guy was being extremely objective and almost apologizing for the faults of the place. It takes balls to post something that goes against so many others' opinions. While I wouldn't draw the conclusion that he ultimately did (after a single visit) that Eden's customer service reputation isn't well deserved, I certainly don't doubt the guy when he said he had a crappy time there and that it's possible that others will as well.

It would be interesting to see what happened if the guy voiced his dissatisfaction to management there. They have a pretty high profile "if you're not happy, you don't pay" policy, which if 100% TRUE may explain why customer service generally has such a stellar reputation at Eden club. I probably wouldn't have pushed the envelope there with such subjective concerns like "She didn't seem quite enthusiastic enough for me", but then again, I'd be much more likely to chalk up such an iffy session to catching the wrong girl on the wrong day and not indicting the place where she worked.

Still, I'd say this is a pretty valuable post.

Another problem I have with this post is that there is no elevator inside Eden unless they have made major renovations in the year or so I have been absent . I have made many a pilgrimmage up and down those stairs.

I was in Eden last December with someone else from this board. There was a woman manager working that day. We were asked to sit at the bar and they offered us a drink.

They then asked the girls to line up ( i don't remember seeing anything special that day). We were discussing the woman that were available and I guess were weren't making a decision fast enough for the manager.

She made a comment along the lines of something like, this is not a place to come to in order to get drunk. my friend and I looked at each other and laughed, because we maybe had had two sips of our drinks.

We said Okay, finished our drinks, got up and left. We then went for a short walk to a beer garden, I can't remember the name of it, but it was filled with women. We both pulled girls out of there and took them back to our hotels. I don't remember the prices, but I remember that there was no bar fine, because the girls were working as independants. I also remember that the prices we negotiated were much less than what eden wanted for more time.

Anyone have an idea as to what the name of this bar is called?

Smirker, your experience at Eden mirrors my own. I went in once over a year ago, early in the afternoon, ordered a scotch and looked over the lineup. I wasn't impressed with what was on offer, so I paid my tab, leaving a tip, and left. I did nothing in the bar other than briefly talk to Mark, smile at the girls, order top shelf liquor in an otherwise empty bar and leave quietly. The total time I was there taking up valuable bar space couldn't have been more than 10 minutes. On the way out, Mark told me "I know this is your first time here. But don't ever do this again. This isn't a place to drink". I took his advice to heart, and they haven't made a baht off of me, since.

I hear that Marc is opening a new Eden club in Pattaya with some new partners. The address is Soi Leng Kee Metro 33/134 and it opens December 20.

I wonder why no one has responded to Redbus above about the services at Eden. I have good times there and bad times, but even the bad times were not to bad. I would not allow drinking as in a regular bar as men would go there and sit all night without picking a girl, some try to do it now. I would always go for young and pretty girls. Keep the rule if not satisfied no pay. I really would not like to see them have soapy's as this is something for massage palours. The bar is too small. Keep the lesbian show in the bedroom as is now. Keep the line up, in person is so much better than photos. That is my take. Marc.

I think the answer to that is fairly obvious. Who needs a wish list of how we would like things to be at Eden Club ? The answers to the specific questions are obvious or are about things that cannot be changed anyway. We could come up with all kinds of iseas about the perfect bar . For what ?

Marc(the owner of Eden) definitely knows about this site but he never reads it. Even if he did do you really think someone as stubborn and at times surly as him would change his bar to make us happy ?

I know mark might never change his bar, he doesn`t need to, he has his winning formula, what i was trying to do was a virtual bar, something mongers would like a bar to be, maybe low priced drinks,the mamasans and gogo girls would not harass you for drinks, pretty young ladies, a mongers paradise.

I just returned from a wonderful vacation in SEA. I went to Eden twice during my trip. WOW. What an experience! Both times I chose two gals, from the anal side of the line. It was awsome. 90 minutes, and I was able to pop as many times as I could. The first time I was able to go twice, the second (towards the end of my trip) I went 4. The gals ate each other out, and one fucked the other with a strap on while I got a BJ. Just a great experience and worth every baht.

I went to Eden at 1pm, the Sunday before the Thai New Year's. There were already another couple of guys there. They called out the girls for me...all three of them, one to the left, two to the right. I passed, and two more guys walked in as I walked out. How can they only have three girls when they open, even if it is a holiday? I might check out the place another time, but I was not impressed. I mean, three girls outside a bar across the street tried to get my interest on the way to Eden. It wasn't like there weren't plenty of girls around that day everywhere else.

Broman, Reads to me like Edens were busy, usualy they have a lot more girls then three, mind you Thai new year so i should imagine most of the girls are at home. soi 7/1 has a lot of competition now, when i first went there, there was only Edens and a Hotel, now the soi`s full of bar`s.

I think I know exactly what happened: Broman was late! Yes, Eden (and Hell Club) open about 13:00 if I am not mistaken. But one thing I have learned is that you have to show up at about 12:00, 12:30 at the latest. Guys start showing up at this time and just hanging around as the girls get ready. Go in, chill out, watch the girls scramble around and dress and do make up, and you have a beer or two. The guy behind the bar will ask when you are ready as "opening" approaches and he will ring the bell for the girls to come out and line up.

I had this experience in Pattaya, showing up late to Hell Club once. I knew better. I was at a beer bar in the morning talking with some people and drinking some cold ones, and just got carried away. I showed up at around "opening time" and only two girls came out, and neither did anal. I still had a good time.

Even showing up early will not guarantee you won't be met with a wall of uglies. The last few times I went to Eden before official opening time, I left quickly after seeing the rather atrocious line-up. I don't even bother with the place anymore (note, however, I haven't been there in more than 3 years, although I doubt much has changed).

But if anyone has found otherwise recently, I would be interested in hearing it.

I can say that, from my experience, you won't find perfect 10's or knockouts in Eden. I have been lucky and scored some attractive gals, a couple in their 30s, but still sexy and attentative to my needs. The last time I was at Eden was about a year ago. I had a good time, double anal, multiple times. Where else can you get this for about $90? But the great thing about Eden, as you know, if you don't like what you see, you can just high tail it. Lólita's is close by, I have read good things about Tulips, or I really like Bier Garten in the afternoon for a little take out, and then a nap.

I stumbled upon the place sometime during my March 2009 visit. I recall about 15 girls in the lineup with 6 left of the line. None of them were worth a fuck.

The Eden Club used to get its business owing to the purported superior service offered there. However, since I started going to Tulip, where the service is at least as good on average, and the girls are better looking (although not towards the high end of the range, particularly if you don't book in advance and just walk off the street) I don't see much point in the Eden Club.

I'm curious whether there are any dissenters out there, i.e., those who have sessioned at both places and prefer the Eden Club.

I agree about Tulip being better, although I just went to Eden Club once. And there are some attractive girls there, as you say.

Have you tried to arrange a dupla at Tulip?

Went to Eden Club on Jan 17. right after opening, around 1:00PM. Greeted by Marc, whe explained the whole set up to me. I got a bottle of water, and signalled for the line-up. Reminds me of days back at the Mustang Ranch. About 5-6 girls on either side of the yellow line. I picked on that seemed friendly and not too long in the tooth, then she picked her buddy and off we went. A great time, 2 pops, about wore me out. I've got NO complaints at all.
