The two of us visited Cafe Foto on Thursday night 8/22. We got there at 1100pm, perfect time. Entrada was 160R/person including 4 drinks which you could use to buy for yourself or for the garota. The entrada fee worked out fine if you like to drink hard liquor.

The place was very impressive. It was like partying at Heffner's mansion. Khaki was fine, but no short, no teni, and jeans. The women decked out in all type of fashions. There were a live band playing americano and brasileros soft music. Two floors with the main bar and live band on the first floor and upstairs were table set up for some quality quiet time with your garota.

There were about 100 women on that Thurs. night. About 10% were solidly looking. But there're no stunners or head turners. My first pick was a solid 9 brunette, but after about 40min of semi make out and convo, she ended up to tell me that she has a kid and couldn't spend any more than 3 hours. I didn't inquire her service fee. She was really looking disappointed when I threw the fish back in the water.

I moved on to a soft 8.5 slim and tall morena named Michele. She is 1/2 Lebanese and 1/2 Brasileras. We spent almost a couple hours talking, drinking, and joking around. The whole time, my sidekick was with a morena and he had no idea why he picked her. She was a 7 as we both agreed on and he could have done better.

During the time I spent with Michele, I saw a gorgeous semi redheaded wearing an open back dress revealing her nice C-cups just came in to work with her friend. I needed to make my decision fast. I didn't know whether to throw back the black trout or to catch the red snapper which kept swaying to the music right in front of me. I decided to keep the trout as I have fed and invested too much time on it. So I asked Michele for her service fee and she casually told me it's "um mil reais". I almost spit out my Black Label and yelled out the 4-letter word. Damn, I like this chick but I have never paid more than 200usd outside of US soil. We came back to this place on Sat. night to look for my semi redheaded. She wasn't there. There're about 60 garotas during the 3hrs we spent drinking. One garota asked my sidekick for 400R, but he turned her down. We left empty handed.

Mon-Fri are the best time to select at this place. It closes on Sunday.

I met a girl from Foto about 6 months ago, and saw her again yesterday. She stated that business has been so slow that the owner has started charging the girls R$125 just to enter the club to be seen. This is for every girl and every time they enter, so that he can make up his losses.

Three girls from Foto have died this past week. One from being run over by a bus, another was killed by her boyfriend when she posed for photos for someone else. I have forgotten the reason for the third death.

Early words is that garotas are leaving Foto to ply their ware at Romanza. Which is the logical choice to me as Foto and Romanza are the high end type of boates for pickup. Bahamas has in premise rooms like Bomboa so different than Foto layout.
So what I am trying to say maybe you should just go to Romanza and if selection is good, no need to pay cover at Foto.
If you want to splurge, you can also try club W but very expensive with coat and tie required, no negotiation skills required as manager presents you every girl, each coming with a different price tag, all this non negotiable. Cover charge goes toward garota rental unlike Foto and Romanza.
Well I'll listen to myself and head to Romanza first for late night pickup when I head to SP.

Been to Romanza twice, always had a good time.

I really did not like the atmosphere at Bahamas, felt like I was walking on a used car lot, with all the vultures descending on top of me. Pretty vultures though. They all wanted to go for two-somes, and no take out unless it paid them around R$600.

I do want to try W though, at least once. Is the quality worth the money there? If so, i don't mind.

The selection at W is supposed to be the best in SP, it's all up to oneself to decide how much is too much.

Café Photo is very well regarded by hobbyists and by garotas. It is supposed to offer Sampa finest pussy. My limited experience was very different.
Cover is 158R good for four drinks, you are given 4 tickets for the day.
The mansion looks impressive on the outside. Photo is three levels, so there is a bar at every level with live band. The third floor is reserved for VIP so I never saw it.
Garotas mingle in the first two floors, all making eye contact. They will come talk to you if you return their eye gaze.
I went on a Wednesday night and found the selection to be poor. I may have seen 1 or 2 7's, mostly older garotas and average looking at that. They all dress up to the max and fake being worldly but none appealed to me. If you need TLN, you will need to negotiate as in Brazil short time is the default service. Expect starting quote in the 400R but negotiate hard to 200R, 300R max if you see a looker.
I am sure I had to be unlucky as I have read too many good things about Photo.
Friday and Saturday are the worse nights with only the first floor opened for business.
Expect BBBJ and DFK. You can make out inside the club.

I agreed to go to the Motel that Foto owns in a downright filthy/deserted part of town...it was filled with Foto girls taking their clients up. Almost without exception, it seemed like they were all out of there within the hour...checking out at the same time I was. Pathetic.

Foto is a joke. There are also rumors that the owners are backed by Chinese Mafia money, who are trying to angle in on Brazil's prostitution ring.

Whatever the reason, I think the attitude of the place is piss poor. I think it is spawned by the core 30-50% group of hard-core Photo girls who have been working there FOR YEARS. They're pro, they're jaded, and they teach the new ones to be bitches.

At this point, Foto can kiss my ass. It'll always get tourist/businessman who don't know any better, and see the ad in all the tourist rags. But for those in the know, I think it is to be avoided at all costs. If you do go, look for a NEW GIRL. If they have been there for a while, don't go with her no matter how hot she might be.

Sounds like W is a better alternative for the high end.

yeah, W is pretty good but the selection will be much smaller. Basically, the premium you're paying is to have higher end escorts in one location before you choose. I've gone and W has had as few as 10 girls working, mostly it's around 20-30 at most. sometimes it's a little poor because you'll get the same girls doing the same rotation.

the only problem with W is the sticker price. if you make that place a habit, your bank account is going to drain REAL FAST. with today's exchange rate, you're looking at over $300 US per session if you keep her overnight (and she lives on the premises). if she doesn't live on the premises, then obviously they'll have no way of measuring how long you spend with her cuz she might of just gone home.

if you like W types, it may be cheaper to go to Porto Alegre and try escorts, since that's where most of these girls come from.

The selection at W is not as good as Photo. But I totally agree Photo is a tourist ripoff joint. Even garotas agreed with me :-) Attitude is real bad, still there is 10% of garotas worth pursuing. It's up to the hombre to figure his odds. I'd rather go with 90% at Bomboa.

Cafe Photo update

I spent 2 hours in Photo last night (Tuesday). Admission was $R 160 (maybe they helped themselves to $R 2 in change) which covers 4 drinks. Each of the two (non-VIP) floors has a bar and a live band. The second floor was more crowded, but the first floor had better traffic. The lighting was poor for the most part. The music was OK, and not too loud. They featured a belly dancer, but only for a few minutes.

There were about 60 girls and a comparable number of guys at the peak. The clientel was up-scale, mixed Brazilian and foreigner, and mostly thirty something. The girls were mostly light-skinned in their early twenties. The security and service staff was plentiful, friendly, and efficient (including the famous giant ).

Here is my assessment of the girls. The initial impression in the first few minutes is wow! . Upon closer inspection, you realize that what creates this impression is

1. There are no ugly girls, so the visual input is all positive.

2. There are no trashy girls. All are elegantly dressed and groomed.

3. The lighting is sufficienly poor that from a few feet away, you cannot see the defects.

4. Almost all the girls have a selling point, either a nice face or a nice body. Alas, precious few combined the two.

If your main goal is to pick someone, and your criterion is the number of top girls available
(9īs and 10īs) rather than the average quality of the girls, you may be disappointed. I would say that there were no girls below 6, 15% were 6īs, 70% were 7īs, 15% were 8īs (a couple may barely make it to 9). You are basically looking at the top 25% of Help, but just that. There werenīt any girls better than the best girls in Help.

Disclaimers:

1. I am a conservative grader, so 10 is 10 since there are no 11īs.

2. The usual variation from night to night may be a factor here.

3. The best-girls-get-picked-earlier factor may play a role, if they had already left the club. The above comments apply to all the girls that were there, including the "attached" ones.

4. Your impression of a place is often colored by connecting with a great girl at that place. In my case, I was in a "researchy" mode, like a restaurant critic.

By the way, I was approached by 5 girls without making any eye contact. One was somewhat pushy and a bit unpleasant, and one was quite pushy but pleasant. The official rule is supposed to be that girls do not approach you unless you "signal" them.

Those are some of the reasons I have yet to set foot in Foto! Though I do a lot of chasing tail in SP.

I prefer, and do quite well at most of the clubs located along Rua Nestor Pestana.

My order of preference: Kilt, Vagao Plaza, Cocktail, and Skorpios.
