I just got back from a 7day trip to Cartagena and I have the following notes:

Mirador Laquito (CH Link)

I had an excellent studio apartment for $60.00 per night. I didn’t have a good view but I was more than satisfied for the price. The internet was slow sometimes but overall it was pretty efficient. Security was on point 24 hours a day. Chicas had to sign in with cedula and the front door was always locked, you had to be buzzed in and out by security. The location was familiar to all the taxi drivers and there were ATM’s and restaurants close by. Would I stay there again? HELL YEAH!

Transportation

Walking was easy to most spots in Laquito and Boca Grand. Taxis to the Old City were about 6,000CP ($3.50). I knew a local from one of my previous trips who showed my around town and took me to the poor man’s venues for gas money.

Restaurants

There were a variety according to taste but I enjoyed Riquisimo’s which was within walking distance of my apartment. The food was good but on the expensive side. There was something for everybody within walking distance.

Roadmap to success

The beach during the day at Playa Hollywood (CH Link). The Clock Tower in the Old City in the early evening. LDV later at night. The After One of Cartagena is Elecktra in the Old City. If you follow that path you should have some success.

La Dolce Vida (LDV) (CH Link)

My first night I was pissed at Pocahontas wanted 350,000CP regardless as to how fine she was. I went back almost every night and enjoyed the ambiance the music and the view. I know I’ll get hate from Brazil lovers but in my opinion Colombianas are some of the most beautiful woman in the world. LDV was plastic surgery central but many of the chicas were naturally beautiful. My ego enjoyed the attention with their eyes saying “pick me!” The staff was attentive and cordial .

Electricka (CH Link)

Ok after hours spot but it was a small venue. I didn’t care for the lighting ambiance or music but there were some FYNE chicas there.

Clock Tower (CH Link)

Just inside the front entrance of the Old City male and female sex workers hang out. There were some good looking chicas there but as a rule they couldn’t touch the LDV chicas.

Casas

Barrio Los Alpes: Allondra (CH Link) – salida 80,000CP negotiate with the chica her tarifa. Even though I had a bad experience they had the finest chicas of all the othe casas I went to and I am confident the gringo tax could be avoided by speaking to the hefe first and let him know the deal.

Gringo Tax

The hefe in Allondra tried to hit me up for 500,000CP after I already negotiated with the chica for 150,000CP. He fell and hit his head if he thought I was going to put his kid through private school so I walked out.

Electrika the hefe said I had to buy 80,000CP in drinks before I could take a woman out I gave him 20,000CP to callete! He watches gringos and when he sees them make their move he tries to hit you up. If you go just ask your chica to leave and you follow her later.

Tarifas

At the Clock Tower and La Playa I wouldn’t pay more than 100,000CP.
LDV can range from 150,000CP to 350,000CP. I would stay between 150 – 200,000CP.
Electrika can range from 150,000CP to 350,000CP. I would stay between 150 – 200,000CP.
Casas all have salidas and you have to negotiate separately with the chicas. In house will always be cheaper but most do half hour increments.

Policia

Always carry a copy of your passport with you because there are road blocks everywhere especially at night. There is no such thing as reasonable articulable suspicion or probable cause .in Colombia I was stopped twice and patted down. If you like party favors I would encourage you to pass just my humble opinion.

Thanks for the helpful update. I've never been to Allondra. How did you find it and can you give some more details? I did not know about the Elektra bar fine but I guess it makes sense. I've never had an issue with it but I probably always spend/drink way over the minimum, but still helpful info. Does LDV still open at 11 or so? CTG would be much better if LDV just opened a couple of hours earlier.

Mitchc, I have an old acquaintance who took me to what are known as the "Poor Man's Casas" the only one in my list that doesn't fit is "The Pley Club"

For those who are interested in the below listed casas simply tell the taxista the barrio and name of the casa. I did a tour of the following casas:

Barrio Bosque: The Pley Club (CH Link)

The most expensive casa in Cartagena for 300,000CP for 1 hour apparently they pay a big tarifa to taxistas. The casa was dark and dingy inside with a bar dance floor and a few chairs. There were chicas sitting outside and a few inside. The average chica was about a 7. I was NOT impressed I only stayed about 5 minutes then me voy!

Barrio Brusseles: Los Angeles (CH Link)

This joint was scary as hell! Security is there at the gate which is pad locked. Security opens the gate and pad locks it behind you. You walk into a dark house where you can see little of anything what I could see of the chicas the average was a 6. The rate was 150,000CP for an hour. I was NOT impressed I only stayed about 5 minutes then me voy! Security had to unlock the pad lock before I could go I thought if there was a fire I’d be toast!

Barrio Bomba del Amparo: Divas International

I didn’t go in reported 50,000CP for ½ hour

Barrio Bomba del Amparo: El Cacique

I didn’t go in reported 40,000CP for ½ hour

Barrio Bomba del Amparo: Chicas Rica (CH Link)

I didn’t go in reported 40,000CP for ½ hour

Barrio Bomba del Amparo: Chicas Linda (CH Link)

Chicas Linda is next store to Chicas Rica. 100,000CP for ½ hour. Chicas Linda is nice inside with a wide bar a dance floor and plenty of plastic white chairs to talk to the chicas. The club was well lighted and good for meeting the chicas. The average chica was about a 7. I swore I saw Riahnna there she was soooooooooooo FYNE it was ridiculous but she looked too mean!

Barrio Los Alpes: Empana (CH Link)

It was dark there were about a half dozen women averaging about a 7. 150,000CP for ½ hour

Barrio Los Alpes: Allondra (CH Link)

This joint was off dah chain! There were sooooooooo may FYNE chicas in there is was stoooopid! The average chica was an 8 like real model types about a dozen were working. I spent ½ hour with a flaca there for 70,000CP. The CBG was very good and sex only one position was rushed because 30 minutes really isn’t enough time for me to get my groove on. I did screw up and leave my pants in the room while I took a shower I came out and she told me that some chicas are ladronas and take their clients money but she didn’t. I checked and all my money was there. I should have given her a propina but I didn’t. I sat in the club for another 15 minutes after our session and she kept smiling at me. I did enjoy her company but she couldn’t understand my Spanish so I decided not take it further.

I am not sure what time LDV opens I always got there after midnight. IMHO the later the better because the tarifas are likely to be less later in the night.

Thanks for the report, Camaro. Great info. I'm sorry I missed you--it looks like you got there about the time I left. I also stayed in Mirador, will file a report when I get a little spare time here.

You've got some good info on casas; I found a couple new ones, avoided Pley Club, but wish I had had your list to check out.

Thanks again. I always end up with a 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm gap so the extra casa info will help me greatly.

Mitchc,you can also do inside the clock tower during that time frame I enjoyed the vibe and the sites. It's easy to get a 100k chica there also. Only thing make sure they have cedulas, I think most of the clock tower chicas are barrio chicas that may or may not have cedulas.

One thing I forgot to mention in my summary your appearance does matter to some of the chicas I saw in LDV and Electricka. I saw more than one walk away from grubby looking guys. In addition I did recieve a favorable comment from one; I was only wearing a polo shirt, athletic pants and gym shoes. She made it seem like she was more attracted to men who dress nice...just a thought...

American is finally looking to maybe start flights later this year so that should make getting there easier. Were you able to find decent fares?

Mtiche, AA is the airline I am building miles with but since they didn't have service to CTG I lost miles this trip. I booked through Cheap Fares for about $900.00 Atl - Ctg. AA to Mia and Avianca to Ctg. I am going to Cali in Sept AA flight connect Miami for $800.00.

Spirit has some really cheap fares now and again, and I discovered that there are a few first-class type seats (two across instead of three--without the first-class service, of course) available for an upgrade fee of $30 or $40).

I flew Spirit to LAX-MDE for $217 + $30 to check a bag + $50 for exit-row seats on both legs, took Avianca to CTG for $87 a few dayas later. Back on UA ff miles, 35K for first class.

Hunterman that sounds excellent! I would have to get over my gross issues with Spirit with all their fees uncomfortable seats ect ect...maybe one day I will let it go...lol

what time is good to go to chiccas linda club.

I am not sure what time it opens but I always got there in the mid evening 10 or 11. The chicas work in house and out so what you see one time may not be available at another time.
