I agree that the "sex addiction" diagnosis is probably crap. It's the mental dysfunction du jour for psychologists and talk show hosts. Everybody that wants to get laid more than once a week is a sex addict. Considering that the average male thinks about sex every seven seconds (or something like that), merely going to the Zona to get the weekly or bi-weekly boffing shows, I think, heroic self-restraint under the circumstances. I don't think labels, especially psychological ones, are helpful at all. What we are doing in the ZN is IMO getting out from under Martin Luther's big fat thumb, i.e., four hundred years of sexual repression foisted on America by our Protestant heritage. So it's understandable that at first the tendency is to go overboard in TJ. But every monger seems to follow a pattern. The initial euphoria of mongerhood eventually gives way to ennui, then rejuvenation as other interests in the ZN develop, and eventually, I think, we each find our own level as we begin to explore and understand why we're there. Maybe it's 3x a week, maybe once a month, maybe twice a year. We seek the level that works for us. And if it works for you, who cares what some psychotherapist says? When was the last time he got laid?
