This is similar to my path. I have a few comments. I walk up 1-2-3 to the diagonal street with the mercados aire libre. I take a look at 1-2-3 and decide if I like the way it looks today. If I don't like something I take the diagonal street to Constitution. What would make me decide this ? Number of potential rateros. The hill at Constitution. Don't know why, but fav tells me that it's the west side at night and the east side during the day. When she tells me something like that, I do it. Never forget that you are the extraño. You will never learn instincts like the locals. In any case, it's the street on the west side. That initial area on the west side has lot's of mugging reports. When my good buddy TightFit, took me on one of my first walking excursions he commented specifically on that area. Lot's of ratero holes to come out of there. I love walking around TJ. I get a bug kick out of it. The feel of the pulse of the place makes me more alive. Wouldn't give it up for anything and I waited a year before I started doing it. Don't get too adventursome too fast, it is dangerous. Always be alert. Don't go alone if you have a choice. Don't get too drunk. Divíertanse, |
