Erip, I have a funny feeling that it could be an inside job and that maybe the security guard had a friend that was looking for my type of car for parts. Especially with the guard shack being about 30 yards away from the car. The owner of the VZ though indicated that he is really perplexed on how to stop the car thefts. He keeps a full time guard on the premises 24 hours and he watches there activity. He is very happy with the fact the current guard is out and about quesioning people. The owner confided in me that he does not even know if what he is doing is helping to prevent the problem - which indicates to me more than a few cars are getting stolen from the lot.
