This is the second in a series of mini-reports I had been thinking about doing for a long time. Unlike my usual reports, I thought I'd try something new and base these around various observations I've made about Tijuana from the perspective of an eight year vet who has done over 580 girls in TJ and over 1000 overall. My first mini-report was Hidden Gems in a Sea of Rocks and dealt with a positive experience. This one focuses on one of the challenges of hunting in Tijuana.

I was scouting near the dressing room at the front of AB on a weeknight when I witnessed an interesting exchange. Jacqueline de Mazatlan, the evil ex-SG Ice Queen, was standing at one of her normal spots near the entrance. I should note that she might use a different name since coming to AB, but if she does I do not know what it is. Observing her can be amusing at times because her face often shows contempt for the guys that approach her. It actually bewilders me that she gets as many takers as she does the way she looks at her potential customers.

What caught the corner of my eye this evening was a friendly hand move to Jacqueline's arm followed by her sudden flailing and forceful shoving of her potential client. With wide eyes and a surprised expression, the offender attempted to continue the conversation as Willie the waiter approached. The dude spoke for a minute or two with Willie, but it was apparant that there was little the waiter would be able to do. Shortly thereafter, the guy headed towards the back of AB, Jacqueline took a step towards him as he retreated, and in a loud, sarcastic, and as bitchy of a tone as you can imagine, goading him by saying "Oh...I'm REAAALLLY scared!"

Prior to this evening, I can't really say I've seen such bitchy behavior. I've seen girls react semi-violently to obnoxious drunks and crude grabby types sneaking up from behind, but this was a young, clean-cut, fairly attractive guy that looked rather innocent in his approach and had the aura of newbieness. Ice Queen Lily |PHOTO| was known for ignoring guys that bought her drinks and walking away in the middle of conversations. Evil Amy |PHOTO| and Evil Julietta(Azul) |PHOTO| were known for being cold once upstairs, but this kind of aggressiveness from the girls you don't see that often in public.

Later the dude appeared to be sulking in the back, and although I generally avoid meeting new people and getting involved in any drama, curiousity got the best of me, so I asked the question when he was about to walk by. "What happened?" (Let's call him Tom Slick)

It turns out, at least from what Tom told me, that all he was doing was trying to talk to Jacqueline and buy her a drink. He persisted when she declined and exploded when he touched her. His conversation with Willie consisted of explaining what happened and trying to get him to mediate. He was really perplexed as to what had just happened.

I tried to explain that he approached who was probably recognized as the most unfriendly girl currently in AB. Tom replied that he also had difficulty with the previous girl he approached. It turns out this other girl was the tall, skinny dancer Jacqueline, not reviewed to the best of my knowledge, but also unfriendly from what I've heard. Plus she looks it based on my observations of her and she seems to be friends with IQJ. I tried to explain to Tom that the bitches tend to hang out together. (Although Brenda - Tijuana |PHOTO| historically has a good rep, she appears to lose some of her friendliness when in the vicinity of ICJ.)

I tried to give Tom a brief course on what to look for in girls, but he was more set on body types, particularly skinny spinners. The only spinner with a good rep I could spot that night was Claudia - Sonora, but she wasn't around at the moment. When Tom asked about Lucy - Mazatlan I commented that he had a knack for picking out the bitches.

I suggested Violeta - Mexico City |PHOTO|, but she didn't seem to fit his tastes. When Sylvia - Mazatlan |PHOTO| appeared, I HIGHLY recommended her, but her beauty still seemed outweighed by her height and curves, so he hesitated and missed his shot in the five minutes she was available. I finally found a girl he liked that I could recommend, Ximena - Aguascalientes |PHOTO|. He set off after her shortly after that and returned a few minutes later empty-handed. When I asked what happened, he told me she said she was with a guy. I could see Ximena and I could tell she wasn't with a guy and I saw her walking away with a girlfriend several minutes later. I started to wonder if there was just something wrong with Tom. Getting blown off by someone like Ximena isn't a good sign.

We went our separate ways a little after that. The next time I saw Tom he was talking to ex-SG Crystal - Veracruz and I thought to myself that this guy really can't pick well. I stood close by in case he wanted to get a thumbs up or down, although I wouldn't have given it to him in front of her, but we could have done a lap or something. He ended taking her up. Tom appeared again about 30 minutes later, this time with friends. One of them would follow and try to talk to dancer Jacqueline AFTER she walked away TWICE. I was anticipating a slap but he gave up after that.

I ran into Tom again in front of CC where he was walking to with friends, one of which just got patted down by police. I asked how Crystal was, and surprisingly he said she was good, although I question what he might consider good after his experiences with the Jacquelines and Ximena, but he was happy and that's all that really mattered.

Here are some other known Ice Queens to avoid (not all currently working and certainly not all of them).

Pay attention to how girls react when guys approach them, you can often weed out the worst of the Ice Queens this way.

I've done three on the list so far.

Lily but not in her prime so she wasn't an Ice Queen. I wish I had done her in her prime becuase she was so hot.

Arleth. I have no desire to do her again. I think she enjoys not being a good provider.

Jenny de Santa Ana. This chica is hot but I found her impossible to get a good session from. She has been MIA, but I hope she returns, because she is good eye candy.

While I admire those who hang in there with TJ, I must admit that after Asia, South America, and parts of Europe (and even Costa Rica), I just can't pull the trigger to visit TJ any more, even during those instances where I happen to be in San Diego. This is from someone who used to visit TJ regularly, even before Al Gore invented the internet (welll, maybe not THAT long ago). But maybe if I have a long dry spell (hopefully I won't) I might consider it again.

I have done two from this list (Crystal & Jacqueline de Mazatlan - once each) during my first few months of mongering, but now after nearly two years I'm still quite capable of pulling the ocassional clunker.

Jacqueline was my very first street girl session, I spotted her right as I walked onto the alley my first time. This would have been late fall/early winter '04 just as she was transitioning to AB by working double shifts.

Also re: this thread, I think 80 % of the girls in and out of AB are "icy." But I reserve the "ice queen" term to the true hotties who's shit don't stink (according to themselves). Dart didn't call Crystal an ice queen; just referred to her in the post. To me she's more of a mouse- an icy mouse.

Last: True ice queen Jenny SA is now pregnant with baby #3 so she's out of commsission for awhile.

Maverick's use of "Ice Queen" is more accurate and actually how I use usually use it, when putting together the last part of the list I included some I shouldn't have.

To clarify: Crystal, Arleth, Britney, and Jacqueline A are not really Ice Queens, they are just known to provide poor service. Arleth is particularly one to watch out for because she interviews well and will blatently lie.

Good work, d'Artagnan. This report is intense. excellent writing skills and very well put together. The amount of Ice Queens who work in a border town like TJ far exceed any volume of Ice Queens in any other city throughout the world.

I'm not speaking from experience, I'm basing this on everything I've ever read on CH. Nobody complains about performance, or rather, lack of, than the TJ monger. It seems a venture to TJ is more or less a hit-and-miss kind of ordeal. This shouldn't be the case.

But unfortunately these chicas are in an environment where they are forced into the business more out of financial hardships where their income in prostitution exceeds most average incomes in Mexico.

They carry this sour attitude with them because they know in this case, beggars can certainly be choosers. Too many mongers behind the guy they turn down will offer more money for less kinky pleasures provided.
