Tilac is on north side of Soi Cowboy closer to Asok.

Liked place in the past, big with lots of space to sit and lots of ladies, but took turn for worse when visited in January. What is with fat ladies here? Hard to find fat ladies in Thailand, found at least 4 here. Also some ladyboys and some maybe ladyboys.

Didn't find any cute ladies like I did in past.

Still will check again on next visit, hopefully a temporary hit on lineup.

This place used to have at least a few cuties, but the selection is pretty disappointing now. It is possible that the good ones have been barfined for a few days, but not too likely since I checked the place on a few different days.

This bar is farang owned and you'll never see anything more revealing than bikinis here while across the street fully nude continues, if that's important to you.

I really like the layout of this bar with the two stages. It is done up nicely and has a really good feel to it.

The thing that concerns me about this place is the ladyboy situation. Dart was pulled outside by a waitress to inform him the girl he was interested in was a dude.

Then I was sitting next to someone I thought was really cute when a confusing thing happened. I was about to take the girl when she called a waitress over. She started pointing to my dick and then to my girls privates. I originally thought they were just trying to tell me she was on the rag. After Dart's experience, perhaps they were trying to tell me something else.

Also, Dart and I met an American who works in Japan and he informed us he knew of at least 4 ladyboys in the bar at that moment.

This area is the expat's choice. Less tourists, less stressed out girls, open atmosphere. This is the place I go to have my 'regular' beer and watch the big soccer/football games.

I laughed at the earlier posts. Guys were complaining that this bar didn't have any nudity. Nudity in BKK? Not with Taksin around.

This bar had a number of hotties last night which I was surprised at. Usually have quite a few larger girls here. Last night they had many tight bodied spinners. The girls had good attitiudes and many to choose from.

It's a good sized bar and had a good amount of customers. Not overly packed. Worth checking out.

Ex-pats here are saying that Tilak (which means darling or sweetheart), is one of the most improved bars around. Again the fast changes it used to have Dancers that were so big they didn't go by numbers just weight divisions!

Vastly improved and has to be worth a visit; certainly puts Doll House well into the shade.

It may be the mamasan . I found my old friend the big fat friendly mamasan ( cannot remember her name for some reason) that ran Carvival in it's heyday when the shows were blistering hot and it was packed. Then she went to Voodoo and really changed that place as Carnival sunk into oblivion. Introduced me to Da as well at Voodoo. Last trip she came waddling out of Tilac and tried to drag me in she said she has moved over there now. If so she will bring in hot young girls. She is a very popular mamasan and the girls are attracted to her bars.

Khun Mor, the former Carnival and Voodoo Mamasan is none other than the awesome "Mae Pompui" ("Mother Chubby" for new guys) as everybody here refers to her. We tried to get her to work at Hollywood but she is no longer a Mamasan. She helped in Tilac as "service" but I'm not sure if she is still there. Big loss to the Crown Group who are a group of partners who own several go-go's in Nana Plaza. She said the Bosses were always giving here headaches, which is very dumb management, Mae Pompui has a great track record.

NB. Not being condescending here, I just explain certain things for the people who don't know. I know that Khun Mor is El Hombre in Thai terms!

Too bad if she's retired. I last saw her in October of 04 .We were great friends even though I couldn't remember her name. She was a lot of fun on the bars and had a great sense of humor. All the girls loved her.Whenever I went into her bars I was greeted with a big hug and a sloppy kiss. She was great at picking girls -she knew what I liked. As I said she picked Da for me as I had not noticed her immediately when I entered Voodoo that night. She would bring girls over one by one and if I didn't like the girl - she was gone with a wave of mama's hand- no complaining. If I wanted a new girl the next night she would make sure I got no BS from last night's barfine. I actually barfined Mae Pompui herself several times and took her to dinner-- of course along with the girl I had chosen. Once you have the mamasan on your side it's all downhill from there.

I will truthfully miss her . I think Murasaki remembers her. I took him into Voodoo the second time we hooked up in BKK and if I remember right he got the big kiss treatment and girl review as a friend of mine.

True it is very sad, Mae Pompui is in my opinion a dying breed of Mamasan. Her style was firm, fair and friendly, real old school. Firm with the BGs when needed, fair to all people involved and very friendly to the customers especially. Nowadays it is so often, "Pay bar take lady!" That is all you hear like they are parrots! No friendly welcome, no rapport, or banter just robotic hard sell. A great Mamasan is not only essential but becoming a rare commodity these days unfortunately.

I like Tilac! I was just there in May, and although the girls are nude, it is chock full of some of Issan's finest. The girls were low pressure, a lot of fun, and I met a certified NYMPHO who I LT'ed twice (you have to read my trip report to learn her identity!) Additionally, I met many British expats who hung there as well as a French guy who manages the Shark Bar down the street.
I did not catch the name of the Mamasan or her assistants, but the where very nice, ran a tight ship, and cooed like schoogirls when I bought drinks for them.
Just as Dave The Rave's bar was my home in NEP, Tilac was my home on the Cowboy!

Visited Tilac on Saturday night with Buckeye, and met Javaj and Festus there. Currently they have the best talent I've ever seen in Tilac. There were a few girls I was interested in, one so much that Javaj's barfine went over and chatted her up for my future visit while my barfine was up changing. Never got out of this place to visit anywhere else on the soi, as I fined Amma, and walked out with Java and his girl.

If you're in the Cowboy, swing by. There are couple of cuties there.

I'm pretty damned sure that I know Amma, quite well. If it's the same girl, you made a wise choice. I would have spent a fair amount of time with her, had she not asked me to move into my apartment the first night we were together. She is, by Cowboy standards, a hell of a looker.

Hey guys, this is looking quite promising for BKK fans. Now we have even more bars that are worth visiting. Tilac bar can be up-and-down but it sounds quite good from what you have said. Hopefully you guys will get some photos for everybody to judge just how hot the Tilac BG's are. BTW don't forget to check out Long Gun and go in before Showtime if you want a good seat.

There are no good seats in Long Gun for anyone over 6 foot. Those Church pew seats suck big time and they give you about 10 inches of leg room. Hell I can't even get my dick behind that !!

Khun Mor - that is so true about Long Gun it has to be one of the worst designed, cramped little bars in all of LOS. However it has a legendary history and is still consistently the busiest bar in Soi Cowboy. Even after all these years it is still the busiest. Shame it was designed by a midget!

Mano, yes, Amma was way hot. Unfortunately, she also sucked, both in bed and in person. I guess I caught her on a bad day. She even apologized to me the next morning for being so "difficult." Oh well.

They have renovated the inside of Tilac bar. Now they have several small stages spread out in the bar with a larger stage in the middle. Better talent than my last visit and fairly popular now.

Easily worth a look.

Alot of girls working here with some nice lookers. Descent sized crowd with a good atmosphere. Still worth stopping by easy.

Another bar that was busy was dudes. Happy hour lures them in. It was hard for me to find a young hot vixen here. One and done and I was out the door. A hottie could rip it up here if she choose to work in Tilac imo.
