I spent a few nights in AC in late November 2013.

I noted the following changes, from Fields Avenue heading towards Perimeter Road (aka Don Juico Ave):

-----------------------------------------------------------

CLUBS

Luxor (CH Link)
= new club on Field Ave at the corner of the side street going to the building with the 30-foot upright guitar replica on display.

1001 Nights (CH Link)
= formerly No. 7.

Blue Nile (CH Link)
... interior totally ripped out.

Grand Pharaoh (CH Link)
= formerly, Golden Nile.

La Bar
... for sale sign in front.

Bollywood (CH Link)
... very few people inside and no one on stage.

Golden Calypso (CH Link)
= formerly Cambodia.

Sea Side (CH Link)
= new club, near Tao and Viking clubs.

Zippa Rippa (CH Link)
= formerly Welcome Inn

Equus (CH Link)
= formerly Fantasy.

Nemesis (CH Link)
= formerly Genesis.

Oppa
... raided Thursday, Nov 21, 2013 and closed the following nights.

Monsoon (CH Link)
= formerly Typhoon.

Muse (CH Link)
= formerly La Pasha.

Centauro (CH Link)
= formerly Carousel

Eager Beaver (CH Link)
... still closed.

Coyote Ugly (CH Link)
... still closed.

Bailiwick (CH Link)
= formerly Insomnia.

Alaska (CH Link)
... moved to Barrio Barretto, Subic, Olongapo. AC's former Alaska club has a 2nd floor under construction.

-----------------------------------------------------------

CLUB RUMORS

One rumor for the large club changes was that Koreans purchased them.

At one Fields Avenue medium-sized club, a dancer told me that to meet me would cost 2,000 pesos for the club and 3,000 pesos for her.

At one Perimeter club, a dancer told me that to meet me, I had to provide my hotel name and room number and to pay 1,500 pesos when inside the hotel.

-----------------------------------------------------------

RESTAURANT

Flying Fish
... closed.

-----------------------------------------------------------

HOTELS

Emerigo (CH Link)
= formerly Blue Nile Executive Hotel

Queens (CH Link)
= new. Located a block from Fields Ave on the side street from Angelwich club. Opened in Oct 2013. Rooms start around 3,,000 pesos. See www.queensangeles.com

Eurotel (CH Link)
= new. Opened about March 2013. Located near Ponytails club. Not recommended, because someone stole my valuables - - which means that person opened my room door and opened my in-room safe during the daytime between 9 am and 2 pm.

California
= status unknown. Large building, Editha and Malabanias. Saw it from a block away while riding a jeepney.

??? [ I forgot the name, something asian like Asian Pacific ]
= new. On Narcisco St, further away from Fields Ave than Ramada Hotel (aka PJ Hotel) and Medgar Hotel. Looked like a luxury hotel.

Tune, ???, Savannah (CH Link), Grandview Tower
... the first two are relatively new hotels. Located on Perimeter Road, adjacent to each other, within a block of several clubs including the popular Honey Ko's club.

-----------------------------------------------------------

STREET SCENE

In late November 2013, Filipinos on the street seemed to be getting aggressive, probably because stores are playing Christmas music.

Construction work on the street was in progress - - overlaying the perfectly-good concrete street with an artistic cobblestone layer. No drainage for rain or flood, of course; although the entire street has a sloping surface.

Beggar women wearing ankle-length dress made of brown rice bag and usually carrying a baby, kids, handicapped men were begging, but not within the Walking Street portion of Walking Street.

Beggar kids were back on the patch of land between the main roads going in and out of Clark area, near the SM Clark mall.

Tens of transvestites (aka lady-boys in women clothing) clustered on the side street across from Philly's and SkyTrak.

On MacArthur Avenue were more new clubs (probably for Filipinos) and restaurants.

SM Clark mall has been renovating. The newly opened areas seemed more upscale. For example, the food court has reduced the Filipino food dishes and added variety, such as the chicken doner (like a one open-end burrito) for about 70 pesos.

I just left philippines after 3 year absence. Fields sure was not like I remembered it. sure it is still a run down shithole, but I miss the crowds of door girls trying to tug me into every club. I cannot say what the bar fine system is now because all of my girls were web cam models that I have played with for several years. Now I am in bangkok about 100 meters from Nana Entertainment Plaza just waiting for the night life to get started

Greengrasser, thanks for concise updates. With these high amounts, what action did you partake in? Recent comments still give high marks to the Raymond & Santos Streets for good value.

By Lovingmarvin on Saturday, November 30, 2013 - 09:56 am:  Edit

Topfotog - From what I have read in different reports, you will get the full spectrum of comments on Raymond & Santos Street. Some would not touch them with a 10' pole - Personally I like the girls there more than in the bars, since they tend (at least from my experience) to be sweeter and less predatory then in the bars. No push for expensive lady drinks, etc. I was there a few months ago and had some great sessions, especially with one that had worked in AC for just a few days. BUT, without question the quality of girls will always be better in the bars. There are some diamonds in the rough, but generally speaking you have to set your expectations - from a look perspective - a few notches lower.

On my last trip I found myself barhoping with Raymond and Santos Street girls - with good sessions back in the room.

Since there is always turnover, one month quality can be better then others. Just like in the bars.

My action was a dancer out of a Perimeter club. A little over two hours in my hotel room in the late afternoon. When I saw her on stage, she looked too slim for her large breasts. I bought her a 130-peso lady's drink to find out if her breasts were real.

She said that many customers asked her the same questions and, yes, her breasts were real.

We talked some more. She said that she first had sex when she was 17 years old with her Filipino boy friend for six months. But, he left her when she told him that she was going to work in a club to earn money to send to her mother and younger sisters in Samar. She had been working in the club for a month and was now 18 years old.

I calculated 7 months of sex experience and relatively fresh. She and the mama-san said that we had to leave the club separately. I was to pay her 1,500 pesos in my hotel room. She also said that she would pay the bar 650 pesos out of the 1,500 and she would keep the rest.

I returned to my hotel. About half an hour later, she knocked on my room door. She was inexperienced in bed, but let me do whatever I wanted. Her inexperience and compliance inspired me to do her twice. Thinking about our session now is giving me a woodie.

Her breasts seemed real. Only once before did I have an 18 year old whose breasts were hard and stood out with no sag. I have seen strippers in USA who were also slim but with a little more weight, but the breast implant outlines were too obviously rigid. No such outline on this girl.

She was the one-out-ten girls who will stay in my memory a long time.

Yes, I gave her a big tip in addition to the 1,500.

Now to search for a new girl.

-------------

Last time I was in the cathouse on Raymond St, next to the chapel, about three years ago, the price was 700 pesos. There were a couple of attractive girls available.

My thing is to see a girl on stage, nearly naked, in order to check out her body and make sure she has two arms, two legs, no stretch marks, etc.

So, I prefer go-go clubs over cathouses.

By Topfotog on Tuesday, December 03, 2013 - 07:29 am:  Edit

Thanks Greengrasser, it seems weird that in a town so in your face with our hobby that they have to resort to cloak & dagger stuff like leaving the club separately. Is this happening with all the clubs?

By Roadglide on Thursday, December 05, 2013 - 10:43 pm:  Edit

So what IS the story in Angels now days? It's been at least 6 years since I've been there, and I'm thinking of tacking on a visit there when I make my normal Thailand trip this spring.

From the internet rumors I have heard they don't even dance topless in the bars any longer, and now you have to play hide and seek with the bar fines, hell I much rather play hide and seek in the tub with a LBFM

By Hunterman on Friday, December 06, 2013 - 01:47 am:  Edit

I'm not seeing topless dancers, but the barfines are the way they've always been--straightforward at several Santos/Raymond St. BJ bars, perimeter bars, and in between (is Emotions considered a perimeter bar?).

Lots of unattractive dancers, but I'm finding plenty to satisfy my particular tastes ;-).

By Topfotog on Friday, December 06, 2013 - 08:42 pm:  Edit

At what prices?

By Lovingmarvin on Saturday, December 07, 2013 - 11:48 am:  Edit

I have not seen topless dancers in more than 3 years.... The last time I was there a few months ago, ST Barfines Raymond/Santos were 700php and LT 1500. Bars ranged from 1800+ (Let's not even mentioned the Top Model bullshit which has been around for awhile as well in some bars).

In my case not much clock and dagger, unless this has once again changed from just a few months ago. I just remember having to pay for a bottle of whatever bullshit versus a barfine, which is sold under the premise that this is the girls commission and her limit is met for the night with the sale of the bottle and hence she had to leave the premises.

I will be back in February or March. But I will probably cut down on my time in AC and split my time (where, TBD).

Just my own pure opinion - There are just so many girls in AC that I am sure one can always find one that strikes ones fancy. Couple that with low prices - i.e around $40+ USD, plus that you can often find "farm girls" that are pure GFE, still makes this one of my favorite places to visit.

Also, personally I think AC's days are limited - probably still a couple of years away before it changes to the point of being completely different and the hassle does not make it worthwhile anymore. All this change going on now, just wants me to get in as many AC trips as I can in the meantime!

In the meantime, mixing it up - right now in the Balcony Bar in Rio and next weekend is my first for Cuba.

Here is a drink to the good life and beautiful women the world over....

By Hunterman on Sunday, December 08, 2013 - 12:41 am:  Edit

Prices are 700 to 800 pesos in the BJ bars for ST, double that for LT. Perimeter bars (well, Honey Ko, at least) want 1,200 ST or LT. Emotions was 1,200, Pony Tails was 2,000, both for ST (don't know if that was also for LT). Crystal Palace was 3,000, at least for the girl for whom I bought a drink.

The Raymond and Santos Street bars have plenty of cute-enough spinners with delicious bodies. Some are pros but give PSE and maybe some GFE, some are sweet GFEs with less experience. Bottom line, there's plenty there.

I just extended my stay here, if that tells you anything.

By Bwana_dik on Sunday, December 08, 2013 - 06:31 am:  Edit

Keep extending, Hunterman, and I'll see you in January :-)

By Don Marco on Monday, December 09, 2013 - 09:35 am:  Edit

HM, ya CP has a tiered pricing structure and it's 2-3k/LT. Most of the gals I like are 3k.

In general, your prices are representative across the board -

ST/Santos type venues - 800 ish
LT low end/perimeter type places 1200-1600 ish
Most smaller gogos 1500-2100 ish
larger/higher end 2000-4000 ish

By Lovingmarvin on Monday, December 09, 2013 - 01:36 pm:  Edit

Aye, if it wasn't soooooooo far away I would be hoping on a plane to AC now.....for now got to make due for closer venues requiring less time.

But I think as we get closer to the holiday's the girls will start to thin out for a week or so anyway.

By Snooky on Monday, December 09, 2013 - 06:38 pm:  Edit

Hunterman - how long is your extension? I arrive late on the 21st.

By Concarne on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 - 07:27 am:  Edit

Hunterman...

Meet me there second half of Feb and/or second half of April buddy...party!

You can extend until then...lol

By Bwana_dik on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 - 08:07 am:  Edit

I like coming in shortly after the holidays. Many of the girls have gone home for the holidays, and they return broke, and motivated to make some money.

By Porker on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 - 04:35 pm:  Edit

FWIW, I never had a regular who bailed on AC during the holidays. Many don't work NYE, drinking with friends.

WHY? If they go home, they need to be the cash cow extended barangay xmas party.

The REAL exodus is for Samar local "Fiestas" in late May/Early June. And, yeah, they gotta finance that shit too, but find it "fun".

By Hunterman on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 - 10:51 pm:  Edit

On my next to last day, I met a girl whose various skills were off the charts, so I decided to take her to Palawan for a few days before going on to BKK . Definitely a good decision, Palawan is worth a visit, especially enhanced by this particular girl.

Still going home Dec. 19, sorry to miss old friends.

My flight times made it possible for me to minimize jet lag, so I may be back for a week or so before long--don't have to take at least three weeks anymore more. It'll all be in my TR.

By Bwana_dik on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 - 05:00 am:  Edit

Looking forward to that TR. Enjoy the remainder of your stay.

By Concarne on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 - 09:04 pm:  Edit

Palawan definitely deserves a visit.

Some say you must BYOP but there are places to grab a little something something.

Looking forward to the report.

By Quilombo on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 - 10:23 pm:  Edit

Something something. Very well said. Probably make you very very happy happy.

Wow, you gotta figure, just by its location Palawan would be a little bit out of the ordinary. The stuff that dreams are made of...

By Concarne on Thursday, December 12, 2013 - 08:59 pm:  Edit

Is a nice spot...highly recommended...

Thanks for the updates! I'm working on my own report that will contain my own set of updates.

Question about Insomnia/Bailiwick: Do you know when the name was changed? I was there around the 23rd or 24th of November and it was still Insomnia.

Also, about No.7. Aren't No.7 and 1001 Nights two separate bars? They were when I was there. If you walked down that pathway where the new Luxor is, 1001 Nights was directly ahead with No.7 on the left and Bar Nana on the right.

Anyone on the ground to answer these questions?

By I_am_sancho on Saturday, December 21, 2013 - 06:13 am:  Edit

I can't comment specifically on an Insomnia/Bailiwick name change, but at another bar which recently changed it's long held name I asked a mamasan who has been there for years, what prompted the change ans she said there is now some barangay law that states that they cannot keep the old name if the business changes ownership. When they re-register the business to the new owners it must be under a new name. I'd guess that explains all of the recent bar name changes.

By Fooledagain1 on Saturday, December 21, 2013 - 11:22 am:  Edit

Nice report and updates !

I've had a number of girls with incredible firm breats not to be belived they were so firm, almost like a piece of rubber and real.

One such thin girl with a model face I pulled from Flamingo club in Makati.

Speaking of Flamingo, that's the only bar made me meet a girl outside the club to BF the girl some years back.

Any chance to get the bar name of the well endowed beauty ?
