Regarding Brasil, a good percentage of the racks are real - at least that I've seen. Yes, there are hookers on Copacabana Beach. Finally, yes, they do speak Portuguese, seeing as how Brasil was discovered and colonized by the Portuguese. It is very different from Spanish, so speaking Spanish in Brasil is as useful as speaking Russian. Some garotas speak some English, but in general you're on your own with the language.
As far as the pics and fingerprints on the way into Brasil, there were for a while, but it looks like it's stopped. It was just retaliation for the US VISIT program. I was photo'ed and printed in March but when I was back in April, I wasn't.
