As this was only my 2nd trip to TJ some of the "security" measures I employed are probably "old-hat" to a lot of you veterans and I take no credit for inventing anything, just wanted to share ideas with all. I too, as another gentleman posted earlier, take an older wallet on my trip. As stated earlier, my driver's license and "main-money" are kept in the "leg-wallet" I've mentioned before. In the old wallet I keep my CA ID card in case I'm asked for ID. I then "pre-load" my wallet with two $20's, two $10's, and a single $1. When I take a chica upstairs I'm able to pull out my wallet and give the "desk" $10 for the room, pay the chica the $40 or $50 she requires, and pull out the single $1 to tip the room-boy. I do this so I don't flash money in front of the hotel guys or the chica. When I'm done upstairs I simply "re-load" the same breakdown of money from the 'ol leg-wallet to my pocket wallet and I'm good to go. In addition, I keep about $40 in five's and one's in my front pants pockets for drinks, tacos etc.

In the event of a mugging hopefully all they will get is my "drink" money and my pre-loaded $61 wallet with my ID card, NOT my license. And, in the event of a "policia shake-down" where I asked to pay a "fine" they can see all I have on me is about $90 total after I empty my pockets and open up my wallet.

I appreciate the tip from "deucebigalow" on the slacks with the built-in hidden pocket. The main-money kept in my leg wallet can be shared with the "hidden-pocket".

Thanks "duece", I'm going pants shopping today!!!!

Billy
