I am so God-Damned sick and tired of reading pathetic posters trying to somehow rationalize or justify some personal struggles with Judeo-christian guilt complexes stemming from some perceived "victimization" of women in the sex industry. One, the successful women in Mexico make more than the average Mexican doctor. Two, the average Mexican shop-girl works 9-10hr days, 6 or 7days a week, for $150 a month (talk about victimization). The only real problem here is the 'guilt trip' and labelling imposed by that very Judeo-christian system. Two thousand years ago prostitutes held a recognized and honored place in many communities. A year ago Castro was inviting tourist to come to Havana and enjoy the companionship of its beautiful women. Today he accuses those same tourists of "victimizing" Cubas pure latinas. Geee...could it really be that the Marxist state was having a little trouble dealing with the city putas being the only (relatively)wealthy people in town. I'm a long time Tropical fan and speak passing Spanish and I have NEVER met a girl there who didn't know the score before coming. At worst, I've known girls who came thinking they could make $300 or $400 a month just dancing and pushing drinks and it was true, they could. Unfortunately the cost of living in TJ cancels the benefit. Those who don't want to climb the stairs can take the bus home. The argument of "can't afford the ticket" is no longer valid after the first trip upstairs. The girl who's been doin the nasty for a month and lays that 'poor me' routine on you is playing you. If you choose to buy into that "victimization" rap then all I can say is 'fool you'. Next time you hear it, tell the girl to meet you at the bus station the next day and that you'll buy her a ticket home ($30-40 to Culiacan) only don't hold your breath waiting. |
