Hmmm, good point. I always carry my passport either in a jacket pocket, or in the summer time in a shirt pocket. I guess if I get mugged I'll have to get another passport. Although this takes some 6 weeks I think and could impact any upcoming vacations. Do they accept a mere copy of a passport at the border? That to me would seem like it would generate some shit, which is the whole reason i got it in the first place.
