Just a few notes on the way things work for graduate students --
I am but a humble graduate student. I am given only $10,000 a year for my expenses. Academic presses do not give free books, and students are forced to buy them even for their own parents. The books that are sold through an academic press do not provide royalties, and the press does not provide an advance or any other form of payment to writers. The only way for me to make money is by teaching, or getting the book carried by a public press.

Were I not living on a scholarship, and had I sufficient funds, I would be able to compensate you monetarily for your time. I can offer to provide electronic copies of anything I write, articles, etc. as luckily, e-mail is free. Lastly, according to Mexican law, a researcher cannot compensate their informants with cash.

I can only rely on the interest and grace of those who wish to participate...
