"prostitution is illegal in Mexico"

Prove it!!

Even in the U.S. there are no Federal anti-prostitution laws. State and local governments set prostitution laws. Most likely this is the same in Mexico allowing that the local government in TJ or the state of Baja can make prostitution laws as the wish. So it is possible that the city of TJ could make prostitution legal in certain parts of the city (La Zona / La Masa) and illegal in other areas (Ave. Revolution).

Frankly I don’t know the true official legal status of prostitution in Mexico or in TJ. You and others seem to think you do.

So the challenge is for you or someone out there who is fluent in Spanish is to find these supposed anti-prostitution laws and educate the rest of us. If you cant do that then you need to stop making “matter of fact” statements about things you don’t know about.

At least Chamuco did some research before making any statements about Mexican law!
