As a point of contrast: Isn't it interesting that a girl/woman who isn't a sex worker and wants to use a condom can be seen as a slut/disease-ridden/untrustworthy/or at least untrusting person? At least thats what they talk about being afraid of... And they swear up and down that appearing sexually confident and experienced is seen as anti-thetical to establishing a good foundation with a guy. There's probably an age difference here... Most of these kind of studies are on younger women and college women, esp. Some are on latinas though. I remember feeling the oppressive "ever virginal" cloud when I was young too. Re: babies.... perhaps, though I'm not sure if they could really think they'd get very far... There aren't the same kind of laws there, more like social sanctions,,, and if you don't live there and you got her pregnant you really can't be forced to be held accountable, legally or socially... BUT, in a country with no public social security, kids are a good way to plan for the future... especially a white skinned kid who has a better chance for a future. That makes more sense to me somehow than them trying to trap a gringo...
