yo jarocho, Please contact an immigration attorney in your area as legal info you find on the net should be looked at with skepticism... However, in my "off the cuff" professional opinion, if you file for naturalization there is a chance that could be found ineligible. on the N-400 (what you file for citizenship) you are asked a bunch of questions. one question is: "Have you ever claimed in writing or in any other way, to be a United States Citizen?" seeing as you got caught doing this, there is probably some record somewhere of it and it could be used against you. When you answer yes to this, you will be asked to explain the consequences.... However, in your case, this may NOT be a prima facie case for ineligibility as you didn't lie to get some sort of immigration benifit. You only lied to get across the border, which in reality you had a legal right to do... In your shoes I would argue that you actually "have a legal right" to cross the border, so your misrepresentation was not done to "acquire some sort of immigration benifit". Are/Were removal proceedings initiated against you as a result of that? i assume removal proceedings are not pending against you, so you can stay here in the US as an LPR. By the way there is also another question on the N-400 "Have you ever been a prostitute or procured anyone for prostitution?" cs ps: talk to an immigration attorney.
