Hi all - from a guy whose don't like the Peanuts & Beer, and most bars in Revolucion, but loves Tropical Bar , Hong Kong , and periodic trips to El Pollo Bar Why would I like Tropical Bar?

The answer is simply- Younger girls , newcomers to the sex industry and I don't feel like in a meat market.

Gerardo..... As you see with this discussion thread (lack of), most Americans do not care for Tropical. You have to be a hard core Mexican lover to enjoy this place. The music played is mostly Mexican and most of the girls do not speak English.

The club made a bad name for itself in the past by letting waiters rip Americans off with change and the famous cheese plate. During the past year I have not detected rip offs. The only complaint I have is sometimes, with waiters I don't know, they will bring chica drinks that I have not ordered. When I complain, they quickly take the drink away.

But overall, I love the club. There are many young girls. They seem to have have a pretty steady supply of new young ones. There is a core of very nice girls who I have gotten to know a little.

The club is especially good if you like to dance (I do). It is very enjoyable to dance with lovely young ladies.

The strip shows are usually pretty good.

Tropical is down in business from last year, but it is still good enough (women wise) to keep my interest.

One of the pleasures of BT is hooking with fresh talent, right off the bus. I haven't had a chance to do this in a while, but I may start up again Real Soon Now.

When I was in BT a couple of weeks ago the waiters were very, very, aggresive with the chica drinks. I usually don't buy more than 1 drink. I figure by then I know if we're taking the party upstairs or else I can try someone else. Each time one of the girls' drinks got low I had to fend off, no lie, at least 5 or 6 waiters asking, telling, begging, demanding, whatever, that I should buy the chica another drink. This was a small annoyance considering the upside of BT.

I was in Tropical on Wednesday and there was a very nice selection of young, attractive chicas. Also all the music they played for the strip show was American rock.

Things are certainly looking up in this club.

I use to love that place, in fact my favorite place a few years ago and I don't like to dance or watch dancers.

I just like the women.

Anyone know what happened to the lesbo sisters - D and M? They can be a lot of fun especially when M is drunk, otherwise they can be savage hustlers.

I saw a post earlier in the week where somebody said that AC had recently been installed in the Tropical Bar. Last night I walked across the street from the AB into Tropical Bar and I did not feel that Tropical was any cooler than AB and it was a lot cooler out on the street. This was around 9:30 PM. I ended up in the Isis Bar where it was a lot more comfortable. I had a very pleasant experience with Mickey. I will make a post under the Isis Bar with more details.

A week after Erip had his "chiiling experience" in Tropical, we went back in at the same time o' the day and it wasn't as pleasant. After about an hour, we felt a slight cool breeze which proves that the AC in Tropical is like EVERYTHING in the zona; unpredictable, unreliable, & should just be treated thankfully if it goes as planned.

Yeah, my experience of a couple of weeks ago has not been duplicated since. That week was particularly miserable outside so I guess they decided to take care of their customers and staff. Since then we've returned to more typical west coast summer weather and the AC in Trop has been intermittant at best.

Erip isn't full of shit here. I spent a couple hours in this place each day during my trip this week. It was a nice place to seek refuge from the heat.

Also thanks to whoever that was that sent our table a bucket of beers.

Hair about shoulder length, tied back. Sat at the bar solo. Did not see her hanging out with anyone. I thought I saw her at La Chavelas and that her name was Katrina, but not sure. Actually thought she might be eastern european, but not sure.

I can't recall the name but fwiw, your reference to her looking Eastern European gives me confidence that I know who you're talking about...tall, thin and elegant with short blonde hair (I don't recall if her hair was stylishly short or tied up tight as you suggest) who absolutely looks Eastern European. I have talked to the chica I believe you're referring too briefly on a couple of occasions and she was receptive, warm and sweet - even though she sits kind of glumly at the bar when not engaged by a customer. She claims to have been in TJ (or BT) for what would now be 2 months. One of my trusted waiters at BT recommended her to me the first time I saw her a month ago - I talked to her but had other plans. Beautiful, sexy thoroughbred when she's on stage and word of mouth from a couple of BT regulars I spoke with is that she's built for comfort in the hotel.

I'm about 97% certain you are speaking of Carina. she has brown hair with streaks, is thin, very pretty and sexy, starts at noon and dances in the show, almost always wears dresses/skirts, as oppossed to the BT uniform of jeans. she is in the leti posse. she seems sweet and nice but I've only spoken with her, never had her.

The talent pool here is not what it used to be.

Some BT meseros still are trying the chip scam on unsuspecting customers.

At LC a new mesero tried to hide my change by standing a 10 pesos coin against the lowered inside edge of his downward tilted tray. No propina for him as I explained to him why.

BTW 2 weeks ago beer prices were increased to $3 or 33 pesos at BT, HK, LC.

I went here again yesterday - just so ole' Metalboots can say he went there this year. I won't be back until next year. I understand prefrences - I mean, I see a lot of posters knock Hong Kong - but thats my new hot place for now. The Floor Shows at HK are killer! JMHO

I agree with Metalboots, HK is one great place now, even if you just want to kick back.

Besides, listening to the stripper music while watching couples in Miami dance, is good entertainment too.

How about Lucero. Is she still alive and well, taking men's hearts and wallets?

After her most recent string of problems, Lucero was back holding down full time in Tropical as late as a month ago. I haven't seen her around over the last month, but haven't been there much.

Last time I saw her she was back in prime form. Came by for a drink (I told her ONE! HA!) and some dances (she drags you to the dance floor and then "performs" like a stripper just to get all the attention on the crowded dance floor). We were actually having a great reunion - lots of laughs and playing around like the old times. When I turned off the ficha faucet after 3 drinks, she got seriously pissed (or feigned seriously pissed) and split.

About 8 seconds later she's happily laughing in the arms of a local near the front entrance. I circled the bar for a last leak in the baño before leaving. In the time it took to piss, she had furiously assaulted the local guy she was so happy to be with just seconds before. The Tropical mesero militia was having a time of it trying to keep order as a real old fashion saloon fight was breaking out - all initiated by sweet Lucero.

In a flash, the cops were there and a weeping Lucero was taken away in the back of a squad car. The local she fled to from my side was nursing a huge gash in the middle of his forehead - a gory scene. She must have bashed a bottle on his face or something. Watching her sobbing in the back of that cop car made me very sad - I have some history with her.

A couple of weeks later I'm crossing Coahuila from LC to BT, and Lucero is hanging out a window from Rizo de Oro screaming out to me and laughing hysterically. So all was [reasonably] well.

She's also back to being way too thin after a healthy weight gain following her most serious troubles.

So...Lucero is Lucero. Have fun and watch the hell out!!!

I took the email addy offered by chica-quito and emailed the manager and DID get a response. I had asked him if laora, tall blonde was still in employ there. i have cut and pasted his response:

"NO yet but we hare berer"

I interpret that to be: 'no, but we have better'.
so I guess he does respond to emails on that addy.

I would interpret that to say "Not yet, but we have BEER."

Metalboots will try to find beer in anything he does. Actually more beer.

Things have improved. The hotel has had a complete makeover. Rooms have been renovated to where they have taken the sleazy hotels at the back end of the hotels in the alley and joined everything to where they have made it a part of the hotel. Rooms are $40.00 per night. This comes with nice new beds, clean towels, flat-screen TV, strobe lighting, nice glass showers.

Still somewhat noisy at night, especially when the girls are leaving the bar and going back to the rooms. I stayed there for three nights straight and was impressed with the new look. Will definitely repeat.

Not going backwards Metal, just happened to be in the neighborhood, that's all. Plus I had a wad of bills in my pocket and a Viagra fix. So I needed to take care of business.

I was actually in the Philippines twice this year already, but not in AC this time, in Tacloban, to see one girl. I've been to the Philippines a total of six times now, and can honestly say that place still is, and will always be the Holy Land for me. Nothing even comes close.

With seeking pure GFE in the Philippines, it's never a roll of the dice, so to speak, like the way it is in TJ. Although, this time around, while visiting the Tropical Bar (in TJ) I was quite surprised at the amount of GFE which was offered. I did three chicas. Two were fat.

The only downside to the Philippines is, it is virtually impossible to find any pleasantly overweight women there, unlike here, especially with my luck this week in TJ.

Quite a few heffers at the Tropical bar this week, which has only prompted me to return back to my old stomping ground next week.

This is a one time report, I show up in TJ once in a blue moon, but 2 weeks ago on Friday night (8ish PM), Tropical's newly opened sister bar imported their talent to light up the stage. I enjoyed the show.

I rarely get down there myself, where exactly is the sister bar located, next door?

Thursday night I guess a padrote entered the bar as he had a problem with his puta and when a mesero tried to intervene the padrote pulled a pistol and shot the mesero (Vasquez) survived and a chica was hurt. The police shot the padrote and killed him somewhere near parking lot Pepe's.
