New Fantasy (the best value in town) - As the name suggests, this club just opened up. The girls here have been trained very well. Alaska is still "learning". There is a new place that I haven't been to yet, but I've heard a lot of good things about. It's called New Fantasy. Check it out at newfantasy.net. Supposedly it's a little upscale, with electronically locked rooms, sauna, shower, etc. And it has a two way mirror so you can pick the girls without the discomfort of having them watch you while you look them over like livestock.

New Fantasy is a great place and an unbelievable bargain. For 12,000 colones (about $30) you get a full hour - in my case, BBBJ, full service, massage, steam bath, sauna, shower all with a really hot chica.

I agree with Purasex, the cleanest place with nice facilites and great prices, but ladies on a scale of 5-6 while Idem has 7's and 8's and Blue Marlin has some 8's and 9's.

New Fantasy is very popular among regulars, so definitely check it out. If you are very picky you might be stuck with Blue Marlin ladies. Stay out of the strip clubs, they are notorious for ripping off gringos...check the message archives for more info or just stick to the rule and stay away from them.

New Fantasy closed for a little while then reopened in October. They started out at 14K Colones, but went up to 18K, which is almost the same as Zona Blue (without a discount card).

I found the girls at NF not quite as high quality and no where near as friendly in the waiting room.

By the way, there is no longer a 1-way mirror. You join the girls in the room, where they don't introduce themselves, but sit passively around the perimeter.

The facilities are okay. Showers are communal instead of inside of each room, which is no big deal. I kinda' like walking the hallways. There is a bed rather than a massage table in each room.

I just like ZB better. I like the internet, the free phone calls to the states, the option for a cold beer and the front desk staff. For 1/2 of the price, I'd go to NF, but not for the same.
