I have talked to two different psychotherapists in the last two days about what I'm doing down here because I had anxiety attacks over Thanksgiving when I couldn't get hold of one my two favorita's,the trophy. Both you and Daytimer are dead on about needing and taking more risks over time to get the same thrill as when you first went down to TJ. Both these people,one women and a man who is a Doctor that specializes in addiction pinned me as having a sexual addiction. BTW, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO with how often I'm down there, which has never been more than twice a week or how many diferent girls I'm doing which is only two,I alternate between two favorita's. It has to do with self-destrutive behavior,meaning could what I'M doing impact my marriage,finances,job,health,status in society,etc. One of them said that it generally takes two of these areas to be impacted simultaneously before you seek help. Example: Guy has a good job,house,family,and nice wife but he likes to drink,not drunk every day,so he funtions fine,until one day he goes to his doctor after 30 years and finds out his liver is shot. To late. The problem was there all along,why did he need to drink? The point being that most of us are funtional,but that doesn't mean we are out of danger. |
