Ahhhh Si!
They musta filmed that river crossin' part in the Nat'l Park of Big Bend...pero yo no se...

After the bronco bustin' sequence, me gusta mas the "railroad" station scenes...indios, "british-types" smokin' pipes, cowboys, etc...
...Mexico was at one time like this, a crazy-quilt
combination of the European powers...
at the turn of the century...the timeline here is more like 1942...

Nontheless...para nos gringos, un cuento muy interesante...

I would also compare it with "Like Water for Chocolate"...another great "border film"...("Como Agua para Chocolate"...was much more Mexican, however...).
