Chapter 01: TGH, 305, Lapsus, Parada, Copa, TBD

Prior to going through the immigration line, I had to do three things. Fill out an immigration form, fill out a customs form, and pay $10 USD for a tourist card. They take the card at the end of the immigration line just before you get to the counter. I had no check-in luggage, so I breezed through to a crowd of people waiting for friends and loved ones. There were so many people and they were packed so tightly it almost seemed like I was a celebrity walking down the red carpet. Well, by the end of the trip I'll have had the sexual exploits of a celebrity...

I pulled 16,000 DOP (Dominican Pesos) from a nearby ATM (approximate rate of 37 DOP/1 USD) and grabbed a quick bite to eat at a nearby restaurant so that I'd have some smaller bills. Breaking large bills can be a task in the Dominican Republic, so it's advised to save your smaller bills and use the larger ones when you can. Many people will not be able to make change.

The Dominican Republic doesn't have the best tourist-friendly public transport, so I had to shell out $40 USD or 1500 DOP for a ride to the Hotel Riazor in the Gazcue district. I asked about bus transportation, but was told there wasn't any. I'd later read that there was, but it might be more of a hassle than it's worth. You can take a small bus or van (not sure which it is) from the airport to Boca Chica. From there you would need to take an express bus to the colonial zone of Santo Domingo. From there you would catch a cab to your hotel, probably 200 or 250 DOP. I doubt I'll ever go through all that.

The Hotel Riazor was $120 USD or 4500 DOP for two nights. I gave them 5k DOP, they held onto the change as a deposit.

I started my adventure around 4pm with an attempt to checkout Club 305 on Avenida Independencia. There was music playing, but the front door was locked and I didn't see a buzzer or anything. I wasn't sure if it was a daytime place, so I decided to try again in the evening.

My next stop were the brothels of Avenida Pasteur, The Girls House, Satin Dolls, and Sky High. A tout latched on to me as I walked by the Mystik Hotel. The touts on this street are annyoing as hell, and they try to accompany you so they'll get a commission. I usually don't let them accompany me, but I wasn't planning to session, hadn't been to Santo Domingo in years, and thought I might get some information out of him so I let him.

The Girls House had several nice ladies I could have easily done. They were quoting $100 USD but one of them suggested they would come down to 3000 DOP. It was a difficult deal to pass, but I moved on.

We walked in Satin Dolls, but after waiting a few minutes the person managing the place said no one would be available until later.

The tout was starting to get on my nerves, so I started to walk away as I was already familiar with Sky High. He followed me and convinced me to check out a nearby massage parlor. The price was only 1500 DOP, but the ladies weren't worth it. One lady had a cute face, but she was much too big for me.

I ditched the tout and got some frozen yogurt. It was somewhat expensive at 100 DOP for a tiny cup.

I went to check out Sky High. The tout latched on, of course. No one was available there, either.

The tout then convinced me to check out Playboy Palace. I had never been there and wasn't exactly sure where it was, so I said I'd go. I thought it was far, so I asked him how far away it was. He told me it was 1 block away. I was pretty sure he was lying, but I followed him anyways. He led me about seven blocks before I stopped following him. He pleaded with me to continue on as it was "right there" but I refused. I later figured out the motherfucker still had a good four blocks or so to lead me.

On the way back I turned south to walk along the Malecon (George Washington). Near the Jaragua Hotel I met a taxi driver named Fabio. He told me about the Copa Disco and suggested I try the place at night if I was interested in freelancers.

I found a place I was planning to visit called La Parada Cerveceria, so I sat and ordered a beer. I wasn't sure what this place was, there were several ladies available, but they made no attempts to get my attention. One I saw was really cute, but she joined a large party that looked like some kind of family gathering. I left after my beer.

After walking just a bit north, I realized I was at the wrong place. La Parada Night Club was on my left. I decided to check it out later and returned to the hotel. I changed clothes and was back on the street in no time.

I decided to try Club 305 again. The tout saw me and joined me. I wanted to tell him to fuck off, but I thought me might know something I didn't know so I let him show me how to visit 305 in the daytime. You have to walk around the outside of the building on the left to get to the back...noted for future reference. The bartender told me they were open 7pm to 5am.

At 7pm there was only one lady available, but despite the tout and lack of options, I let her seduce me. In my defense, she was pretty good at it. She looked very attractive in the dim lighting, did all the right caressing, and said all the right things. 3500 DOP was the price for two hours in their onsite room...against my better judgement, I agreed.

The rooms at Club 305, or at least the room I had, suck. Our play area consisted of two very thin couches which were barely wide enough to sit on, and I'm not a big guy. The toilet had no seat and the shower had no hot water. We couldn't even get towels because they were in the wash. To top it off, the room was too cold.

Sylvia wasn't as attractive in the brighter light. She went from an 8/10 to a 6/10. Her CBJ was decent but her performance was otherwise uninspiring. I could barely manage to come with the room as uncomfortable as it was, but somehow I managed. Maybe it was all that buildup from Puerto Rico.

Sylvia wanted a tip, I think I gave her a couple hundred although she didn't deserve it.

Club 305 was much different when I walked out of the room. Now there were about 10 ladies and the place looked alive. At least three of them were more attractive than Sylvia, and significantly so. I should have listened to my head and waited. Oh well, I could always return later in the trip.

I walked across the street to a restaurant called Villas Hermanos and ordered some pork dish with rice. I wasn't sure what it was, but it looked really good. It turned out really disgusting. I think I ordered Pig Feet soup or something. Up close I could see the pork was all fat. I bit into some of the darker pieces, but they were pure fat, too. One of the pieces looked like a toe. I had some of the sauce on my rice, but that wasn't very good, either. On top of my 3700 DOP session, this was an additional 280p not well spent.

After those two unfortunate experiences, I needed a break. I returned to Riazor for a nap.

After my nap I decided to check out Lapsus. I was surrounded by about 30 ladies after I sat down. At least 10 of them were attractive, but two really stood out. One of the ladies was exceptionally pretty and looked like an exotic runway model. She was dressed somewhat conservatively compared to many of the others. The other standout was dark chocolate with an extraordinary thin waist. She had a large ass which even further accentuated her curves. I wasn't ready to pick anyone, so I had the bartender know I wasn't interested. They all walked away disappointed, but a few kept trying to flirt with me as time passed.

One of the persistent ladies started talking to me and called over her sister, who I had actually been eyeing. The sister wasn't very pretty, nor did she have an impressive body, but she had a very seductive way with her movement and dancing. I ended up buying them beers at 150 DOP each. I had a Red Bull which was also 150 DOP.

Before I left, I asked the bartender about their hours. He told me 7pm to 7am daily.

I stopped by the La Parada Night Club next and plopped down 150 DOP for a beer. The talent there was unimpressive. There were maybe ten ladies, one of which was somewhat attractive. Another one that was somewhat cute sat next to me shortly before I left. I asked about the prices there and Fior quoted me $100 USD. I told her I might visit later. Fior also told me they were open 7pm until 3am. I think this place was also daily, but I'm not sure about Sunday.

I stopped by Copa Disco around 1:30am. I had never been there before, but knew about it from another forum and Fabio's recommendation. There was a really hot lady dancing and a few cuties here and there, but the place didn't have the look or feel of a freelance pickup place. I had other plans as well so I continued on.

My final stop of my first day was The Baby Dolls, another first time visit. There were about 15 ladies, a few were cute, but I really liked one named Lauren. I got a quote from her of 3500 DOP for a couple hours, but I decided to save her for another day. A couple came in later on, a hobbyist and his date. The date was AMAZING...I would easily shell out a couple hundred USD for some time with her, but sadly, she was taken. They were there to pick up a third for the evening. The date was interested in Lauren, but Lauren wasn't interested in her. The guy ended up pulling a tall one that wasn't in the same league as Lauren. I could tell the date wasn't thrilled with his choice, I wouldn't have been either. I was sad to see her leave.

Before I left I got the operating hours of the club, 8am - 2am most days, 3am on busier days. I forget which days they were.

I walked back to the Riazor to complete my first day in the DR.

Those touts are the biggest pains in the ass, I cant stand them!!! No matter how nice you try to explain to them that you do not need thier services, they will still insist on walking with you. From what I understand, they make 100 pesos for "showing you the club" and they get 250 pesos if you take a girl.
