I had posted that I was going to TJ Saturday and I got an e-mail from a guy who had never made the trip before but wanted to try it. I told him it was only my 2nd trip, but I would welcome the company. We met at the revolving gates at a pre-determined time, introduced ourselves by first name only and took off for our adventure. 8 hours later as we headed back to the border it was like we had been best buddies forever! Not only did we have a good time, but as soon as we got to AB a guy walked up to me and asked "are you BillyPV?". I had given a complete description of my looks and what I'd be wearing and he said that's how he reconized me. The three of spent the whole afternoon and early evening cruising the Zona on foot and had a ball! Although never "over-confident" it sure was a good feeling knowing lurking "rateros" probably thought twice about taking on all three of us at once. When one of us was flirting with a chica, the other two were looking all around watching his back. Bottom line is we all looked out for each other and it was great! My "new best friend"(who I only know by first name) that I met at the gates e-mailed me this morning and wanted to know how he could ever thank me for letting him join me on a Zona run. I e-mailed him back and said: You ask how can you ever return the favor? You already did, my friend. Not only did you save me $61(chica, room, tip) but like we were talking, we're not 18 anymore and I don't want to waste a good "hard-on" on a lousy lay! Not to mention the fact we had a blast walking the "alley" getting groped by the SG's, something I didn't even think of trying when I went solo my first time. Look forward to our next trip! BillyPV To those of you who choose to go "solo" in TJ I wish good times and safe times. To anyone wanting to get together on my next run, I look forward to meeting you!Not only did I learn the ropes through this board, I now have a couple of new good "friends". BillyPV BillyPV
